dear panama,

thank you very much for your kind comments. There is so much to say about the Amish community and I will be pasting further instalments shortly.

I've no idea what Panama means (???) , but your description of the Amish is amazing . My thoughts are with them .

The photos are , as ever , excellent .

Yourself and Emerald seem to be making the positions of official photographers your own ..

I look forward to seeing more from the electrofried photo album .

I am also looking forward to hearing more about your time in America and your experience with the Amish community. The community aspect of it appeals strongly to me, I like that the community takes care of each other and has a 'barn building commitee', I wish there was something similar in my neighbourhood to help me with my DIY! (My next challenge is laying a wooden floor :/ )

Good evening Sir Fried. Have been rather busy of late, tirelessly removing all traces of zips & buttons from my attire. Hope everything is fine in downtown Little Wittering and that the dwindling bank balance has returned to normality.

Our village of "flattery stinkery" is currently under seige by the local halloweenies (sweet dickens). Its amazing how effective the old peashooter is at close range!!.

On the matter of the newly sighted motorised bycicle, negotiations have come to a temporary standstill. I am however, currently considering attaching a new wick to the lantern of my current machine, as of late the sky has become considerably more overcast than normal.

Looking forward to your visit this preceding weekend. The in-house brewery is in temporary disarrangement, therefore a trip to the local drinkery is required.

Until then. Ensure the Hoss Road is avoided.

dear samsarajade,

thanks very much for your feedback, which is most appreciated.

The community aspect of Amish life is particularly attractive. I hope in due course to share with visitors to the House our experiences on the last night of our tour when we took dinner with an Amish family in their farmhouse kitchen.

The memory will stay with us for ever!

best regards

dear imperial anonymously,

we are much looking forward to our forthcoming visit to the Flatlands.

Tell maximouse to be prepared for our arrival - young teenygoth has been regaled with stories of her elder sister's Kevin-like transformation on attaining her thirteenth birthday!

If time permits, perhaps I could also assist you to open the pages of your own "Flatlandish Chronicles". I feel sure regular visitors here would much appreciate access to another branch of the electrofried on-line library!

best regards

dear jabba,

thanks very much for your kind comments concerning the article and photographs. I hope to post more shortly.

It was an interesting task creating a pictorial documentary of the Amish community given their religious beliefs preclude the making of "graven images". It gave me much food for thought as to how much a person is defined by the space he/she leaves behind.
